It makes me upset that even though I get some time off I must spend it working on my own projects or thinking about stressful things (currently nothing more so than writing a story for the Writers of the Future contest). Video games are a waste of time to me now and television is just another distraction amidst a sea of them in modern American society.
No matter how cliche it is, I long for the “good ol days”. The days where if I didn’t have school I could stay up all night and do whatever I wanted, never having to worry about the up coming over population of the world, or the growing political instability, or the incredibly competitive job market, or even the growing number of artists and authors.
Childhood is truly blissful, though this may not be true for all I find that it applies to most. Oh well, I’m sure things look better in the morning then I can get some serious work done.
